At the request of various clients, National Cargo Bureau, Inc. issues Certificates of Loading for Container Vessels which certify that the vessel complied with National and International Regulations with respect to the Hazardous and Non-Hazardous cargo loaded.
Review the Dangerous Cargo Manifest to verify it is complete and properly transcribed in accordance with 49CFR176 and the International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) Code.
Review the stowage and segregation of hazardous materials in-transit and to be loaded, in accordance with 49CFR176, the IMDG Code, and the vessels Document of Compliance.
Make recommendations with regard to the proper stowage and segregation of hazardous materials.
Ensure all containerized cargo and break bulk cargo is properly secured in accordance with the vessel's Cargo Securing Manual and Code of Safe Practice for Cargo Stowage and Securing.
A Certificate of Loading issued by National Cargo Bureau may be accepted by the Coast Guard as prima facie evidence that the cargo is stowed in conformity with the requirements of these regulations.
