National Cargo Bureau, Inc. is pleased to offer a
practical and thorough course in Damage Stability. The course curriculum has
been evaluated at U.S. Coast Guard Headquarters by the Marine Technical and
Hazardous Materials Division, the Merchant Marine Vessel Personnel Division, and
at the Department of Transportation by the U.S. Maritime Administration. The
course satisfies the requirements of Title 46, Code of Federal Regulations, Part
4310, Subpart C. In addition, the following approval has been granted by
Commandant (G-MVP) U.S. Coast Guard.
Anyone who satisfactorily completes [the National Cargo Bureau, Inc.] DAMAGE STABILITY COURSE is considered to have gained two weeks sea service credit (deck or engineering) toward a U.S. Merchant Mariner's Document or license.
The course consists of nine lessons,
contained in a workbook and accompanied by an examination book. Each lesson is
submitted to National Cargo Bureau when completed. After the assignment is
corrected and reviewed, it is returned to the student with appropriate comments.
Upon satisfactory completion of the course, a certificate of completion is
issued. National Cargo Bureau assumes no obligation to correct assignments not
received within one year of enrollment. No refunds will be made for uncompleted
courses.
The DAMAGE STABILITY COURSE may be purchased by contacting our Headquarters in New York. The price of the course is $550.00. Additional fees will be charged for handling on course material being mai led outside of the United States. Shipping fees will be charged at cost. A bank service charge of $50.00 will be added for all checks drawn on foreign banks or submitted in foreign funds.
